Celebrating Women’s Leadership with FMK The Wine Game

March is a month of celebration, empowerment, and recognition. As Women's History Month unfolds, we take the time to honor the trailblazers, pioneers, and everyday women who continue to shape history, shatter barriers, and redefine leadership. This year, International Women's Day 2025 carried the powerful theme: Accelerate Action—a call to uplift, inspire, and drive forward the achievements of women around the world.

Amidst this vibrant energy, Veronica Neal, CEO and owner of Keystone Advisors, hosted an exclusive event celebrating the remarkable women in leadership positions on her team. The evening was more than just a gathering; it was a toast to the incredible impact of women entrepreneurs and professionals who are making strides in their industries every single day. And what better way to celebrate than with great company, delicious wine, and a little bit of playful competition? Enter FMK The Wine Game—a sassy, engaging, and laughter-filled way to sip, savor, and celebrate!

Women’s History Month & International Women’s Day: A Celebration of Strength

Before we dive into the fun and flair of the evening, let’s take a moment to appreciate the significance of International Women's Day and Women's History Month.

International Women's Day (IWD) has been celebrated globally since 1911, following a proposal at the International Conference of Working Women in Copenhagen. March 8th is now a worldwide observance dedicated to recognizing women's achievements and advocating for gender equality. With the 2025 theme of Accelerate Action, the message was clear: continue pushing forward, breaking ceilings, and forging new paths for the next generation.

Decades later, Women’s History Month was established in the United States. What began as a local celebration in Santa Rosa, California, in 1978 grew into a national recognition when Congress passed Public Law 100-9 in 1987, officially designating March as Women’s History Month. The purpose? To spotlight the contributions, achievements, and influence of women throughout history and in contemporary society.

A Night of Wine, Women, and Winning

With such a powerful message in mind, Veronica Neal’s event embodied the spirit of Women's History Month perfectly. It was an evening of connection, recognition, and of course, indulgence—complete with a curated wine experience featuring FMK The Wine Game.

For those unfamiliar, FMK The Wine Game is an exciting, cheeky twist on wine tasting that transforms any gathering into an unforgettable experience. Inspired by the classic “Flirt, Marry, Kill It” game, this version invites players to assign each wine a role—Flirt (the wine that excites the senses), Marry (the dependable, must-have bottle), and Kill It (the bold, irresistible choice). It’s a game of taste, humor, and connection—perfect for a night celebrating strong, confident women.

The game set the stage for lighthearted fun, sparking laughter and camaraderie as each woman at the event debated, deliberated, and defended their choices. The wines were expertly chosen to align with the dynamic personalities in the room—bold, smooth, and unforgettable, just like the women sipping them.

An Evening of Recognition and Gratitude

Beyond the fun of the game, the evening was a heartfelt tribute to the powerful women leading the charge at Keystone Advisors. Veronica Neal, a champion for women in leadership, took the time to honor each woman on her team, recognizing their contributions, dedication, and impact within the organization. Leadership is about more than just professional achievements—it’s about lifting others up, creating opportunities, and fostering a culture of support and mentorship. That’s exactly what this event represented.

And because no celebration is complete without a little something extra, each attendee received a special gift—a pair of stylish shoes from Luchos in Houston. A perfect nod to the idea that strong women walk boldly into their futures, paving the way for others to follow.

Supporting Women, Creating Community

As the wine flowed and conversations sparked new ideas, one thing became clear: the power of women coming together in support of one another is unstoppable. Events like this serve as a reminder that success is not a solo journey; it is built on collective empowerment, shared knowledge, and unwavering support.

Women entrepreneurs, business leaders, and professionals continue to reshape industries, drive innovation, and build legacies that extend far beyond their own achievements. The message of this event was clear—when women uplift women, incredible things happen.

A Personal Journey to Houston

Among the guests in attendance was Kathleen Warshawsky, co-creator of FMK The Wine Game, who traveled to Houston to participate and show her support. Bringing the game into this empowering setting was more than just an exciting addition to the evening; it was a testament to how shared experiences—whether through leadership or laughter—bring people closer together.

Kathleen’s journey with FMK The Wine Game has always been about connection, celebration, and fun. To see it play a role in an event dedicated to recognizing women’s achievements was a full-circle moment—one that underscored the importance of blen

ding passion, business, and community.

Looking Ahead: Continuing the Celebration Beyond March

While Women's History Month is a designated time to celebrate and reflect, the movement doesn’t stop on March 31st. The call to Accelerate Action is ongoing, urging us all to continue fostering environments where women thrive, both personally and professionally.

The evening with FMK The Wine Game and Keystone Advisors was a shining example of how celebration and empowerment go hand in hand. It was about taking a moment to say, we see you, we appreciate you, and we’re cheering you on. It was about creating spaces where women feel valued and supported. And, of course, it was about making memories over great wine and even better company.

Cheers to Women Who Lead!

As we raise our glasses to another Women’s History Month, let’s carry forward the energy, the inspiration, and the commitment to supporting women in leadership. Whether it's through mentorship, advocacy, or simply recognizing the incredible women around us, every action makes a difference.
